PROTECTING LEADERS & LEGACIES
Rev. Dr. Debra Murray, D.Min., is a Womanist practical theologian, systems architect, and the Founder and CEO of Areté Leadership Institute. She holds a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary's Beeson International Scholars Program and a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary — where Dr. Emilie M. Townes served as her advisor, Dr. Delores S. Williams was her teacher, and Dr. James H. Cone personally invited her to continue doctoral study under his mentorship.
Her scholarship operates at the intersection of Womanist ethics, digital humanities, and Agentic AI. Her current research introduces Techno-Womanism as a constructive theological methodology and proposes the Digital Hush Harbor Protocol — a decentralized, community-governed technical standard for sovereign data preservation and epistemic justice. Her governing AI layer, PIVOT OS, functions as Sovereign Middleware between the human 'I' and the extractive machine.
Her mandate: Theology is Infrastructure. The Harbor is open.
